Coastal Cleanup at Lighthouse Beach in Chatham (10/2/2024)

I noticed a large plastic crate at Lighthouse Beach in Chatham that was abandoned. I had walked by the crate for several days now and decided to finally remove it. I did not want to let it sit much longer because it would keep breaking down. Don't want all those microplastics in the Chatham ecosystem. After grabbing the crate, I decided to pick up other liter nearby. I filled two 5-gallon buckets with everything from aluminium cans and ropes to shotgun shells and plastic straws.
